Christ Hall Boys Home, Kayts is part of ‘Save the Child’, a regularly funded project initiated by SKTAT Trust since 2000.

We aim to ease the harsh reality of being orphaned and we currently sponsor over 450 children from a month at the cost of £80,000.00 per year.

These children will get education and healthy life which is deprived to them since they are orphans. Your timely help will alleviate their vulnerability and raise their prospect of a new life.

TYPE / AMOUNT OF SUPPORT REQUESTED

The project designed to be funded by regular monthly sponsors and devotee’s contributions paying 15 GBP per month by monthly standing order to sponsor a child. Predominately Temple subsidise to meet the short fall to continue the support with the hope to give these impoverished children the best start in life and a brighter future.

Objectives (Missions)

The prime objective was to bring up the helpless children who were orphaned, abandoned or destitute in all aspects, namely mentally and physically as the war situation caused serious effects on the sector of population. Almost every child has its own problem such as loss of self-confidence and became with retarded minds. Therefore it is not only a matter of bread and butter but also include many other human needs are to be taken in to consideration as these children are to form the society in the future.

  • Provision of recommended food, clothing and shelter mainly to destitute orphans.
  • Provide educational facilities until the time a child get confidence to lead his life, self-supported.
  • Encourage children to get self-confidence
  • Teaching and guiding them human ethics to prevent them from leading distracted life pattern.
  • Training the children to follow modest habits.
  • Make them to engage in sports and games not only for their physical health but also to make up their minds to act to the situation.
  • Eradication of cast, creed or racial discrimination among the children and encourage them for a life in co-operation and unity to promote peace in the country.
  • Arrangement of vocational training to the children who are unable to continue their education.

Temple Opening Time – All Days

Monday to Sunday opens at 7am to 10pm. Tuesday and Friday closes at 10:30pm.
Closed for 30 minutes from 3:30pm to 4pm.
Special days like Puratasi Sani 9th and 16th October temple opens at 6:30am.
